NYIT Launches Alliance with Leading Chinese Polytechnic University

NYIT President Edward Guiliano, Ph.D., launched a collaboration with the China University of Mining and Technology (CUMT). He signed a document of collaboration as a step toward joint academic programs through an exchange of academic materials, research methods, students, and faculty members. The two universities will develop a series of undergraduate and graduate joint degree programs as well as short-study programs for students and faculty in New York and in China.  In addition, the universities have agreed to pursue the opportunity to establish an independent college in China with the approval of China’s Ministry of Education. The partnership with Motorola Solutions encouraged students to come up with innovative applications for Golden-i, a cutting-edge, wireless headset computer, and provided invaluable networking experience for students.
