The AmCham Abu Dhabi Women in Business Committee is proud to announce that New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) has signed WOMEN ACHIEVE, an innovative program that promotes the professional advancement of women. WOMEN ACHIEVE was developed by AmCham Abu Dhabi’s Women in Business Committee to encourage companies and organizations to offer women more opportunities to advance to positions of greater responsibility and leadership.
As a supporter of WOMEN ACHIEVE, NYIT pledges to ensure that it provides an environment where women can further develop their leadership skills and excel in their respective areas of expertise, through a positive corporate and organizational culture. “As a global university, with three women Vice-Presidents and five female Deans, NYIT has been a leader in promoting women in leadership at its campuses around the world and is delighted to be a member of the AmCham WOMEN ACHIEVE initiative,” said Dr. Rahmat Shoureshi, Provost and Vice-President for Academic Affairs.
Matthew E. Byrd, Chairman of AmCham Abu Dhabi, said, "We are delighted to have NYIT sign WOMEN ACHIEVE. AmCham Abu Dhabi is proud to support innovative initiatives, such as WOMEN ACHIEVE, that foster positive change in the business community."
