NYIT Global Health Team Promotes Partnerships, Saves Lives in Haiti

NYIT Global Health Team Saves Lives in Haiti

A team of osteopathic physicians representing the NYIT Center for Global Health returned from a medical mission in Haiti with a renewed sense of optimism for their coordinated efforts in the region.

While in Haiti, the team explored future educational opportunities in global health for NYIT students, built contacts with area physicians, and coordinated partnerships with local nonprofit groups Doctors United for Haiti and Save the Children. They also provided on-site medical training to doctors in Limbe and Peredo and worked with local healthcare providers to treat patients. Read More.
