M.B.A. students (left to right) Robin and Aya won the competition, while undergraduates Haji and Nassir came in second.
Teams of business students at NYIT-Abu Dhabi recently competed in a case study contest, “Corporate Challenge 2014.” The case study, based on a global company and prepared by NYIT School of Management faculty members, challenged the student teams to address critical issues in business.
Fifteen teams made up of both bachelor’s- and master’s-level business administration students learned the case thoroughly and devised plans of action. On the appointed day, the teams presented their analyses and recommendations in front of a panel of faculty judges and supportive members of the university community. In the end, the winning team, M.B.A. students Robin A. Carvalho and Aya Wadi, won gift vouchers worth 500 UAE dirhams (about US $125) from Air Travel Enterprises, Abu Dhabi. In addition, winners and runners-up (bachelor’s degree students Haji Sattar and Nassir Etouit) received trophies in recognition of their achievement.
