Abu Dhabi, U.A.E (Nov. 5, 2011)—As part of a month-long community strategy to educate Emirati students on the perils of driving irresponsibly, entertainment company Flash Entertainment invited students at NYIT-Abu Dhabi to participate in its “Yasalam Responsibly” road safety campaign.
“The event hosted presentations and a mini competition where students answered trivia for prizes related to Formula One, Ferrari World, and music concerts in Abu Dhabi,” said Jan Wallace, director of operations and external affairs.
Following the Yasalam team’s presentations on the consequences of speeding, not wearing a seat belt, talking on cell phones and texting while driving—the main causes of accidents and fatalities on the road—students signed the Yasalam Responsibility Pledge.
