On Friday, April 25, Nursing Students and their Nursing Faculty Advisor Dr. Suzy Diggle-Fox attended the Relay for Life Event on the Old Westbury Campus. This a overnight community based fundraising event led annually by the American Cancer Society that honors those who have survived cancer, and their loved ones. Donations are utilized for research and support services, for example lodging for those who have to travel out of town to receive cancer treatment, beauty services for those going through treatment, and much more. The Student Nurses Association created a team to support this life saving cause. As a team, the Student Nurses Association (SNA) raised a total of $1845.00 and were recognized at the event as one of the top 5 participating teams.
