First name:  Sean

Question:
How many years does it take to be an analyst in a investment bank?

Hello Sean!  That’s a simple question with a not-so-simple answer as there are a lot of factors involved.  First – different banks will have different hiring practices.  Second – your work experience, academic experience, and aptitude will impact the qualifications required for the specific position.  If you hope to be an analyst in an investment bank, I would strongly suggest that you meet with the faculty in the Accounting & Finance department to plan your course of study and discuss your plans for internships and experiential education in order to get a solid start.  You should start by meeting with Dr. J.K. Yun (jyun04@nyit.edu).
