Summer Study Abroad

 

SUMMER STUDY ABROAD
Soest, Germany
July 18 – August 1, 2010
 
The School of Management is offering 3 credits for a two-week summer study abroad program in Soest, Germany in collaboration with the South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences (Fachochschule Sudwestfalen  http://www3.fh-swf.de/foreign/english.htm.)
 
Students will attend lectures in the mornings, visit companies in the afternoons and go site seeing in the evenings and weekends.
 
Lectures will include topics on European economic and financial system as well as European business practices. Company visits will include Alcoa, Honsel, local brewery, casting factory, cake factory and Kwerneland Agricultural Manufacturing.
 
Students will learn from this experience:
1.      The European economic and Financial System
2.      The difference between European and American business practices
3.      The difference in culture between American and German business practices
 
Please join us for this exciting opportunity to learn in a foreign country, live in a different culture, make new friends and visit the great cities of Berlin and Cologne.
 
Cost: $3,000, which includes the 3-credit tuition, accommodation, transportation and most meals (lunch not included)
