Spring 2011 School of Management Orientation
School of Management Orientation (SOM)
To be attended by SOM Spring 2011 Freshmen and Transfer Students and
Also Fall 2010 SOM students who still need to attend
There will be an information-packed orientation program that all new and fall students who did not attend earlier orientations in the School of Management are REQUIRED to attend.
Students who do not attend this MANDATORY orientation will be prohibited from registering for classes for the fall term. We have scheduled two orientation dates. You are required to attend one of the two dates. This MANDATORYorientation dates will be held on Monday, April 4 at both MA and at OW campus in our distance learning rooms and, also, on April 12, Tuesday in both Manhattan and in Old Westbury distance learning room campuses.
We’ve designed the experience to help you meet your new classmates and hopefully kick-off friendships that will last throughout your time here at NYIT and beyond.
The faculty within the School of Management will be there to chat about their courses, their expectations of you as a student and to get you excited about your new major. In addition, you’ll learn all about our Student Advancement, Professional Enrichment and Experiential Education Programs and Initiatives that require your engagement into value-adding activities that simultaneously attend to civic responsibility, personal and professional growth, gaining an appreciation of cooperative experiences, and a whole lot more.
We will be serving pizza.
