Covenant House Toy Drive

From December 1st – December 20th the Hospitality Department’s club, the Society of Hosteurs (Manhattan and Old Westbury Chapters), will hold its annual Covenant House Toy Drive.

Each year the Society of Hosteurs collects brand new toys for the children of Covenant House to help put a smile on their faces during the holiday season. All brand new toys are welcomed for these beautiful children in need. The age range of the children is from infancy to approximately seven years old. The toys will be delivered to the children by the Society of Hosteurs and advisers.

If you would like to help contribute to this worthy cause, you can drop off your denoted toy (or toys) in the decorated boxes that will be located (**Please do not gift wrap the toys**):

Manhattan Campus

  • Dr. Robert J. Koenig’s office - 26 West 61st Room 503.
  • Ms. Stephanie Langdon’s and Ms. Gabrielle Duby’s Office - 26 West 61st Room 503 and 501.

Old Westbury Campus

  • Harry Schure Hall: 2nd floor - boxes will be set up near the main desk of the Distance Learning labs.
  • Wisser Library: Boxes will be set up in the main entrance lobby.

About Covenant House:
Covenant House New York is the nations largest adolescent care agency serving homeless, runaway and at-risk youth. Our doors are open 24 hours a day for youth in need. Each year nearly 7,000 youth seek out our Crisis and Community Centers for safety, shelter, food, and someone to talk to and that is just the beginning!

Covenant House begun over 30 years ago when six young runaways were given shelter from a snowstorm, in the lower east side of Manhattan. Covenant House now has programs in 21 U.S. cities and Latin America. More than 77,000 young people are aided annually by Covenant House in its national and international programs.
