Social Media Victories: Real Businesses, Real Campaigns, Real Results

Students learned how to leverage social media to build a brand and bottom line on Oct. 18 at the event "Social Media Victories: Real Businesses, Real Campaigns, Real Results." The event, attended by more than 100 people, was hosted by the School of Management's Student Advancement Program, Bloomberg Television, Time Warner Cable Business Class, and the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce at the NYIT Auditorium on Broadway. It included a networking breakfast and keynote speech by social media guru and best-selling author Patrick Schwerdtfeger (pictured center in blue tie) who also signed copies of his book Marketing Shortcuts for the Self-Employed.

Additional event speakers included Scott M. Stringer, Manhattan borough president; Nancy Ploeger, president, Manhattan Chamber of Commerce; Robert J. Koenig, Ed.D., associate dean, School of Management; and David Fitts, director of marketing, Time Warner Cable Business Class.
