15th International Workshop, Portugal

What are we going to do?
Teams from ten nations are coming together for an international meeting in Portugal.

While playing a business management game, you will be discovering cultural and education peculiarities in behavior and work style. As a member of a multinational team, you will try to find solutions with the aim of outperforming your competitors in the market. If you are successful, your company will grow and your shareholders will enjoy a higher dividend due to increased profits and more efficient management strategies. Additionally, we will play volleyball and table tennis tournaments.
 

Where are we going?
We are meeting in Madrid, Spain on March 14, 2012. After exploring the city for two days we are traveling to Lisbon Portugal, by night train. After some company visits (e.g. Volkswagen Autoeuropa) we will arrive at our workshop venue, a hotel located at one of the wonderful Algarve beaches in the south of Portugal, where we are staying for one week. A day trip to Seville, Spain, will interrupt the competition (your daily routine). The big final will take place in the form of a general meeting of shareholders, which will be held at the Institúto Politécnico de Setúbal. The program ends with trips to the cities of Oporto and Lisbon. On April 5, you will have to say "adeus" to your new friends.
 

Who is eligible?
Business and economics undergraduate students specializing in marketing, procurement, production, planning, human resources management or financing.
