Cisco Rep to Share Career Insights with NYIT-Amman
Amman, Jordan (May 2, 2011) — Kicking off the first in a series of one-hour technology sessions at the Amman campus, NYIT’s Office of Career Services and Department of Computer Science will host Cisco engineer Ayman Hamed as he discusses careers in cloud computing on May 11, 2011.
While Hamed’s talk will focus on real-life applications of coursework in the field of information technology, the entire NYIT community is invited to attend, according to Lina Mattar, associate director of alumni and employer relations.
“We hope the sessions will provide students with an opportunity to network for future hires or possible internship opportunities,” Mattar said.
Mattar has reached out to partner with NGOs and technology companies such as Microsoft to provide the university with similar workshops and seminars during the fall 2011 semester.
