Senior Analyst

Department: Financial Affairs

Primary Location: Old Westbury

Other Location(s): Manhattan

Responsibilities: New York Institute of Technology seeks a Senior Analyst. The selected candidate will be part of the Office of Financial Planning and report to the Director. Responsibilities include converting large data sets and qualitative information into concise analyses using trend analysis, internal and external benchmarks, statistical analyses and modeling, and survey data. In conjunction with the VP and Director of Financial Planning, he/she will prepare a comprehensive gain-share programs and maintain databases for the program; communicate results on an ongoing basis; refine current methodology for annual school specific profit and loss statements; prepare academic program profit and loss statements, business plans and forecasts; develop budget projections and analyses of personnel, capital and operating budget requests; formulate a comprehensive survey and analysis of sources of financial, programs and market data that will be used to effectively evaluate and/or benchmark academic programs and make recommendations to senior management

Qualifications: The selected candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and at least five years related experience that demonstrates taking on increasingly complex analytical responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, oral and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to work with complex data sets, and demonstrated competence with Microsoft Office and other statistical/analytical software; must be a self-starter and able to exercise independent judgment. This position will be based in our Old Westbury campus, but travel to the Manhattan campus will be required.
