Position

Instructor/Assistant Professor

Department: Osteopathic Medicine, College of

Primary Location: Old Westbury

Responsibilities: New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine seeks an Instructor or Assistant Professor to support the Department of Medicine and its activities, to include: pre-clinical and clinical teaching, providing patient care in the Academic Health Centers, conducting research/scholarly activities as required and called upon by the Department Chairperson and/or the institution, and engaging in college service (including, but not limited to, attendance at departmental and school-wide meetings, and on committees).

Qualifications: D.O. degree from a school of COCA-approved osteopathic medicine or school of medicine accredited by the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation or the Liaison Committee on Medical Education, respectively. Completion of an AOA or ACGME- approved residency in Preventive or Occupational Medicine or equivalent. Board Certified in preventive Medicine, Occupational Medicine or equivalent; hospital appointment (or pending application) for active medical staff privileges, and participation in medical insurance plans. Must have an MPH specializing in preventive medicine, public health, and/or global medicine. Documented interest in undergraduate and/or graduate medical education, population and global health.
