We Are You Project International View artwork by Jacqueline Casale Taylor Basker, coordinator of the Department of Fine Arts and Computer Graphics at NYIT-Amman, through Thursday, Oct. 4 at 1670 Irving St., Rahway, N.J. The traveling exhibition presented by Arts Guild New Jersey is part of the organization's National Hispanic Heritage Celebration and provides an expansive coast-to-coast artistic overview of current Latino sociocultural, political, and economic conditions in the 21st century. 21st-Century Leaders Speaker Series Attend the lecture, "Nuclear Energy after Fukushima: Policies, Practices, and Problems," presented by NYIT trustee Lady Barbara Judge, CBE, on Thursday, Sept. 27 at the NYIT Auditorium on Broadway, Manhattan campus. She is the chairman of the Pension Protection Fund in the United Kingdom and chairman emeritus of the U.K. Atomic Energy Authority. Read more.

Optimism Walk and Paws for Parkinson’s Event Raise money for Parkinson's disease on Saturday, Oct. 6 and enjoy activities such as a 1.3-mile walk, a "Halloween Hounds" doggie costume contest, prizes, raffles, giveaways, and refreshments at Belmont Lake State Park, Babylon, N.Y. The rain-or-shine event runs from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. and is sponsored by the Adele Smithers Parkinson’s Disease Treatment Center at NYIT. Read more.
