Mini-Retreats for Scholarly Writing Reserve your spot for a new series of retreats launched by the NYIT Center for Teaching and Learning. The next one is Friday, Feb. 7, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at 16 W. 61st St., room 822, NYIT-Manhattan. Faculty members who attended the first retreat on Jan. 16 spent part or all of the day working in a quiet room with plenty of coffee and tea and lunch. Participating faculty were pleased with their accomplishments: two book chapters and an article were submitted by day’s end, and other projects saw considerable progress. R.S.V.P. for the retreat.
Coat Drive The NYIT Office of Residence Life and Off-Campus Housing in Manhattan is working with New York Cares to host a coat drive through Friday, Feb. 7. Drop off your gently used coats in donation boxes at the Edward Guiliano Global Center, 1855 Broadway, lobby, Loeb Residence Hall, and Manhattan School of Music Residence Hall.
