Film Screening Attend a film screening of Dallas Buyers Club followed by a Q&A with leading actor Jared Leto on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 7 p.m. at NYIT Auditorium on Broadway, Manhattan campus. Sneaker Drive The Sports Authority and East Coast Conference are partnering on a special initiative through Thursday, Dec. 19. Donate your used sneakers to the Sports Authority at 1230 Old Country Road in Westbury, N.Y., and receive 15 percent off your next store purchase. Donations will benefit One World Running, a nonprofit organization committed to raising awareness of health, fitness, and nutrition around the world. TIAA-CREF Appointments A TIAA-CREF representative will visit NYIT-Manhattan on Friday, Dec. 20 to provide personal investment and retirement counseling for program participants. Call for Entries: NYIT Gallery 61 Exhibition Submit original artwork inspired by commuting to and from work for an upcoming exhibition. What aspects of your workday commute stimulate your senses? Perhaps it's the colorful landscape of New York City, the people you encounter on a train platform, or the sounds you hear while in transit. Any media can be used to express your art. Coat Drive The NYIT Office of Residence Life and Off-Campus Housing in Manhattan is working with New York Cares to host a coat drive through Friday, Feb. 7. Drop off your gently used coats in donation boxes at the Edward Guiliano Global Center, 1855 Broadway, lobby, Loeb Residence Hall, and Manhattan School of Music Residence Hall.
