Assessment Day for NYIT Faculty Attend Assessment Day on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 10 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at NYIT's Old Westbury and Manhattan campuses. This year's theme will be planning how to assess the core learning outcome "Global Perspective/World View" in degree programs and core seminars. This is essential to meeting the goals of NYIT's 2030 strategic plan. View a schedule.
NYIT Campus Dining On Wednesday, Sept. 4, NYIT's campus dining locations in New York will return to regular hours for the fall 2013 semester. In addition, the NYIT employee discount on purchases that use flex funds or dining dollars will be 10 percent at these locations. View NYIT campus eateries.
Yoga and Pilates Classes The NYIT Athletics Department will host free yoga and pilates classes during the fall 2013 semester for NYIT faculty, staff, and students on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 12:45-1:45 p.m. in Recreation Hall, Old Westbury campus. Classes begin on Thursday, Sept. 12. Participants must bring their own mat (at least a half-inch thick), towel, and water bottle, and dress in workout gear, not street clothing.

Doo Wop Fundraiser Attend a Doo Wop concert for a cause on Sunday, Oct. 6, 3-5:30 p.m. in Riland Auditorium, Old Westbury campus. Cost is $25 per person. Pay at the door or send a check payable to NYIT to: Susan Christie, Riland Academic Health Care Center, room 34, Old Westbury campus. Proceeds benefit NYIT's Adele Smithers Parkinson's Disease Treatment Center.
Cut 'n' Paste: From Architectural Assemblage to Collage City Architectural renderings created for NYIT's design of a recycling center in Costa Rica will be included in an exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art through Sunday, Dec. 1 at 11 W. 53 St., New York City. Read more.
