- Navigating Energy Purchasing Webinar It will focus on navigating energy markets (such as energy and capacity costs) and five key tips every college and university needs to know when purchasing energy on Thursday, Aug. 1, 1-1:30 p.m. Register for the webinar.
- Grants Workshop It will feature a series of sessions with experts from federal and state agencies, including the U.S. Department of Education and the National Science Foundation, on Thursday, Aug. 22, 10 a.m - 4 p.m. at NYIT-Manhattan (building/room location to come). Register for the workshop.
Design Awards Competition Enter the Society of American Registered Architects' (SARA) National Professional Design Awards Competition by Friday, Aug. 9. Winners will be honored at SARA's 2013 national conference in October in New York City. Read guidelines.
Open 5K Race NYIT's cross country team will host an Open 5K Race on Saturday, Aug. 10, 9:30 a.m. at the Old Westbury campus. Pre-race registration starts at 8 a.m. on race day. There will also be a free 1-mile fun run for kids. The discounted price for NYIT faculty and staff members is $10 up until and including the day of the event. Proceeds will benefit the team.
