Cut 'n' Paste: From Architectural Assemblage to Collage City Architectural renderings created for NYIT's design of a recycling center in Costa Rica will be included in an exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art, from Wednesday, July 10 to Sunday, Dec. 1 at 11 W. 53 St., New York City. Read more.

Conversation with Andrea Martin Meet Broadway star Andrea Martin on Thursday, July 11, 2-4 p.m. at the NYIT Auditorium on Broadway, Manhattan campus. Call for Entries: Lumen Prize Exhibition Submit your digital fine art through Wednesday, July 31 for the Lumen Prize Exhibition. The annual event awards cash prizes to top winners and features the art of 50 finalists on a global tour, which includes a November 2013 stop at NYIT Gallery 61 in Manhattan. Read guidelines.

Design Awards Competition Enter the Society of American Registered Architects' (SARA) National Professional Design Awards Competition by Friday, Aug. 9. Winners will be honored at SARA's 2013 national conference in October in New York City. Read guidelines.

Open 5K Race NYIT's cross country team will host an Open 5K Race on Saturday, Aug. 10, 9:30 a.m. at the Old Westbury campus. Pre-race registration starts at 8 a.m. on race day. There will also be a free 1-mile fun run for kids. The discounted price for NYIT faculty and staff members is $10 up until and including the day of the event. Proceeds will benefit the team.
