Earth Day Events Join NYIT for special events with a focus on the environment:

6th Annual Fashion Show Fundraiser for Parkinson’s Disease NYIT faculty and staff members are invited to the fashion show fundraiser on Tuesday, April 23, 11:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the NYIT de Seversky Mansion, Old Westbury campus. Cost is $75 and includes lunch. All money benefits the Adele Smithers Parkinson's Disease Treatment Center. Call for RFPs: Classrooms Design Challenge Participate in a challenge to design a student-centered classroom that supports active, collaborative teaching and learning. The winning proposal will be implemented in fall 2013. Proposals are due by Tuesday, April 30. Read more.
Bully Documentary Screening The NYIT School of Education is sponsoring a free screening of the new documentary, Bully, on Wednesday, May 1, 5 p.m. at the NYIT Auditorium on Broadway, Manhattan campus. The film is directed by Sundance and Emmy award-winning filmmaker, Lee Hirsch. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. A panel discussion will follow the film. R.S.V.P. for the event.
VIP Yard Sale Students from NYIT's Vocational Independence Program (VIP) will have their first yard sale on Saturday, May 4, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Independence Hall, Central Islip site.
