Safety Conference NYIT will host this year’s American Society of Safety Engineers Professional Development Conference on Wednesday, March 20, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. in Salten Hall, Old Westbury campus. The event will feature a keynote address by Anthony Ciuffo, CSP, area director of the Long Island office of the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Cost is $80 per person. Purple Palooza Challenge Join the Community Service Center (CSC) at NYIT-Old Westbury for a high-stakes competition and the opportunity to win prizes and support cancer research on Tuesday, April 2, 12:30-1:50 p.m. in the Academic Quad, Old Westbury campus. Faculty and staff members should sign up in teams of two for $5 per person or sign up individually and get a partner on the day of the event. 3rd Annual Relay for Lunch Help support NYIT's Relay for Life and the Student Government Association to raise much-needed funds toward their $50K goal on Thursday, April 4, 12:30 p.m. in the NYIT de Seversky Mansion, Old Westbury campus. The buffet luncheon is donated by NYIT Dining Services. Cost is a $25 minimum donation. Payments will be accepted at the door; make checks payable to the American Cancer Society.
