Cast Iron Chef NYIT's Cast Iron Chef competition is Thursday, Feb. 21, 3:30-6 p.m. at the NYIT de Seversky Mansion, Old Westbury campus. Cost is $10 for members of the NYIT community; $25 per guest. Call for RFPs: Classrooms Design Challenge Participate in a challenge to design a student-centered classroom that supports active, collaborative teaching and learning. The winning proposal will be implemented in fall 2013. Proposals are due by Tuesday, April 30. Enterprise Systems Forum NYIT will host the IBM Enterprise Systems Solutions Forum on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 8:30- 11:45 a.m. at the NYIT Auditorium on Broadway, 1871 Broadway (between 61st and 62nd Streets), Manhattan campus. Guest speakers will include representatives of IBM Systems and Citigroup, who will discuss what skills companies need in ES professionals. This event is free for all members of the NYIT community. An Evening with Entrepreneurs The NYIT School of Management and the Center for Entrepreneurial Studies invites faculty, staff members and their guests to an open discussion by alumni entrepreneurs on Thursday, March 7, 6-9:30 p.m. at 16 W. 61st St., 11th floor, NYIT-Manhattan. Safety Conference NYIT will host this year’s American Society of Safety Engineers Professional Development Conference on Wednesday, March 20, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. in Salten Hall, Old Westbury campus. The event will feature a keynote address by Anthony Ciuffo, CSP, area director of the Long Island office of the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Cost is $80 per person. 3rd Annual Relay for Lunch Help support NYIT's Relay for Life and the Student Government Association to raise much-needed funds toward their $50K goal on Thursday, April 4, 12:30 p.m. in the NYIT de Seversky Mansion, Old Westbury campus. The buffet luncheon is donated by NYIT Dining Services. Cost is a $25 minimum donation. Payments will be accepted at the door; make checks payable to the American Cancer Society.
