Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts NYIT continues to update nyit.edu/sandy with the latest volunteer opportunities and collection drives, such as a Bed, Bath and Beyond Coupons Collection coordinated by the School of Architecture and Design.
City Harvest Food Drive The NYIT Department of Hospitality Studies and the Society of Hosteurs are hosting an annual City Harvest Food Drive through Monday, Dec. 10. Donate nonperishable food to help feed the hungry, homeless, and less fortunate individuals of New York City and Long Island. Decorated donation boxes are located at 26 W. 61st St., room 508, Manhattan campus.
Coat Drive The Office of Housing and Residential Life at NYIT-Manhattan is collecting new and gently used coats through Monday, Dec. 31 as part of the 24th Annual New York Cares Coat Drive. Drop off a coat in the bin in the lobby of the Edward Guiliano Global Center at 1855 Broadway or bring it to the resident assistant offices at the Riverside or Manhattan School of Music Residence Halls.

Blood Drive The NYIT Community Service Center, the Office of Campus Life, and the New York Blood Center are hosting a fall blood drive on Monday, Dec. 10, 10:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. at the Sports Complex, Old Westbury campus. As part of Hurricane Sandy relief efforts, donations will help replenish dwindling blood supplies at the New York Blood Center.
