Free Flick NYIT's Department of Communication Arts presents free films from the 1950s. View the court drama 12 Angry Men on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 5:45 p.m. in Manhattan (16 W. 61st St., 11th floor auditorium) and Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 5:30 p.m. in Old Westbury (NYIT de Seversky Mansion, room 102, The Soundstage). Professional Enrichment Events The NYIT School of Management has planned professional enrichment events through Thursday, Nov. 15. Events will focus on networking skills, workplace discrimination, and quantitative models. Employee Recognition Ceremony Each year, NYIT honors faculty and staff members who have worked at the university for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, and 35 years or more by inviting them to an annual Employee Recognition Ceremony. This year’s event will be held on Thursday, Nov. 15 at the NYIT de Seversky Mansion in Old Westbury, N.Y.
Asbury Shorts Concert Enjoy an evening of the world's best short films on Friday, Nov. 16 at the NYIT Auditorium on Broadway. The event hosted by Neil Rosen, film critic for NY1 News, will feature live music by Ellen Kaye and Moscow57 at 7:30 p.m., followed by short film screenings at 8 p.m. Admission is free for members of the NYIT community. Winter's Eve Stop by the Edward Guiliano Global Center at 1855 Broadway in Manhattan on Monday, Nov. 26 at 5 p.m. to enjoy Winter's Eve with NYIT. Windows will be decorated and there will be an admissions table, face painting, NYIT takeaways, and hot chocolate and cookies. In celebration, the NYIT Auditorium on Broadway will display student artwork.
In Brands We Trust The NYIT College of Arts and Sciences' Department of Fine Arts will host a panel discussion about the power of brands on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 6:30-9 p.m at 16 W. 61st St., 11th floor, Manhattan campus.
Night Out on the Bears Take the night off on Friday, Dec. 7, courtesy of NYIT Athletics as it hosts the sixth annual Night Out on the Bears, 5:30-9 p.m. at the Sports Complex, Old Westbury campus. This free event gives parents from the community an opportunity to enjoy an evening out while student-athletes and staff care for their children in a safe, healthy, and fun-filled environment.
