Help the NYIT Bookstore offer a larger variety of low-cost book options for students at our New York campuses by providing your course material orders—also known as adoptions—on time for the spring 2014 semester. We encourage you to consider rental and digital books. By Friday, Nov. 15, follow these steps:
- Sign in or register for online adoptions (orders) on the NYIT Bookstore website. First-time users will need to register by filling out a short form and entering the code 1346. For the section asking about your role, choose submitter if you're a professor selecting a title that your department will need to approve, or choose approver if you have the authority to sign off on selections.
- Now search by title for your textbooks as rental or digital options (look for e-book availability).
- When you find the right option, submit your adoption request.
How Do Textbook Adoptions Benefit Students?
Our rental program, Rent-A-Text, enables students to rent their books and save up to 50 percent off the cost of buying new. E-books also tend to be cheaper.
If you're teaching a distance learning or online class, place your order for both the Old Westbury and Manhattan campuses. We want our students to be able to purchase the materials at either location.
