NYIT hosted its first Global Cybersecurity Conference today in Abu Dhabi. Focusing on the theme, "National and Corporate Threats, Protection, and Education," it convened cyber defense professionals, information technologists, business executives, and educators from the Middle East, North America, Asia, and Africa. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, U.A.E. minister of culture, youth, and community development, participated in the event. Read more.
President Guiliano gave opening remarks at the conference. He noted universities need to "ensure that organizations have the talent to manage risk and a workforce that can spot the potential for risk." Read more.
Earlier in the week, President Guiliano joined an exclusive group of government and community members on March 24 to honor "Mother of the Emirates," an event recognizing Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, a global leader in women's education. Read more.
