Ann Marie Klotz, dean of campus life at NYIT-Manhattan, was the latest presenter at NYIT’s new Emerging Perspectives in Student Affairs Leadership (EPSAL) Series for student affairs professionals from NYIT and other local universities. On June 11 at the NYIT Auditorium on Broadway, Klotz spoke about “capacity building,” an approach that examines how we live our lives and considers how minor changes can result in increased productivity, enhanced personal wellness, and stronger alignment of individual talents with their specific job duties.
In our increasingly complex jobs, higher education professionals need different tools to manage the competing priorities of the workday,” Klotz explains. “Capacity-building requires reviewing the way we go about the business of actually doing our work and finding the gaps that are preventing us from achieving optimal results.
Stay tuned for the fall lineup of EPSAL presentations on leadership, management, innovation, entrepreneurship, and productivity issues in higher education, establishing NYIT as a thought leader among student affairs professionals in the New York metropolitan area.
