The Class of 2013 at NYIT campuses in the Middle East and Canada celebrated their degrees at graduation ceremonies this past week.
President Guiliano conferred degrees on 50 NYIT-Abu Dhabi students on May 27 at the Heritage Club Theatre. Attendees included Linda Davila (B.S. '78), chairperson of the NYIT Board of Trustees, and Jennifer Kelly (M.S. '99), director of alumni relations, who accompanied President Guiliano to NYIT-Bahrain and NYIT-Amman for their respective graduation ceremonies. Read more.
On May 29, family, friends, and faculty members gathered at the Gulf Hotel Convention Center to honor 138 NYIT-Bahrain students. "Find your passion in life," said Class of 2013 student speaker Khaled Ahmed AlHajri, who earned a bachelor’s degree in finance. "Find what fuels you and pursue it. Things may not happen quickly or smoothly, but once you find your passion, opportunities will start to arise, and you will find yourself committed to the path you’ve selected, no matter what challenges you face." The 177 students in NYIT-Amman's Class of 2013 received degrees on May 31 at the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Center. "Jordan’s culture of entrepreneurship is growing,” said President Guiliano in his speech to graduates. "Much of that has to do with gains in information and communications technology ... No doubt this will open up opportunities for graduates. With your degree and critical thinking skills, you are well-positioned to take advantage of your country’s entrepreneurial growth and innovation." Read more.
Graduates of the M.B.A. program at NYIT-Vancouver celebrated their achievements at a ceremony on May 31 at VanDusen Botanical Garden. NYIT Provost Rahmat Shoureshi conferred degrees on 24 graduates. Read more.
NYIT's last global graduation ceremony of the commencement season will be held on Monday, June 10 at the Nanjing campus.
