The Council of Undergraduate Research (CUR), Washington D.C., has elected Niharika Nath, Ph.D., (firstname.lastname@example.org) associate professor, life sciences, as a councilor in the health sciences division. In her three-year term beginning June 2014, she will assist CUR in hosting undergraduate poster sessions on Capitol Hill and producing its quarterly journal.

Funded by a grant from the Church of St. Patrick (Huntington, N.Y.) and the New York Breast Cancer Support Group, the event is free of charge and includes lunch. NYITCOM Dean Wolfgang Gilliar, D.O., (email@example.com) and Sheldon Yao, D.O., acting chair of the OMM department, along with graduating student physicians John Hassani, Martin Gagne, and Gebe George, published "Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment as a Useful Adjunctive Tool for Pneumonia" in the 87th issue of Journal of Visual Experiments (JoVE). One of the first video journals focusing on the use of OMT for pneumonia, it allows readers to view demonstrations of osteopathic manipulative techniques. View the presentation.
