Paul Cavanagh, Ph.D. (pcavanag@nyit.edu), assistant dean of NYIT Vocational Independence Program (VIP), and Ernst VanBergeijk, Ph.D. (evanberg@nyit.edu), associate dean and executive director of NYIT VIP, co-wrote the chapter, "Residential and Treatment Options for Adolescents and Young Adults on the Autism Spectrum," in Adolescents and Adults on the Autism Spectrum, a book published by the Yale University Child Study Center.

Lawrence Herman (lherman@nyit.edu), associate professor and chair of the Department of Physician Assistant Studies, gave the panel presentation, "The Promise and Potential of Personalized Cancer Care: Integrating Personalized Medicine into Clinical Practice," on April 29 at the American Cancer Society Meeting on the National Forum on the Future of Health Care in Washington, DC. He also provided expert commentary for the article, "Primary Care Crucial to Team-Based Models, Triple Aim Initiatives," published on May 6 by FierceHealthcare, a daily e-newsletter for health care executives. Vera Manzi-Schacht (vmanzis@nyit.edu), adjunct professor of fine arts, was selected as a visiting artist/scholar in residence for summer 2014 at the American Academy in Rome. The academy nurtures the creative development of archeologists, architects, writers, historians and artists.

Rozina Vavetsi (rvavetsi@nyit.edu), associate professor and academic coordinator of NYIT Department of Fine Arts, gave a five-day workshop on information design at École de Communication Visuelle in Paris, France.
