The NYIT Weekly Update webpage has a new blog-style look featuring daily news on the redesigned Faculty and Staff Channel. You will still receive emails with links to the latest Updates, but now all you need to do is click on any email headline to go straight to a story—whether it be a faculty/staff achievement, profile, press release, conference page, photo album, or video. Super Bowl MVP Talks Sports Education at NYIT

Record-setting NFL quarterback Drew Brees was among a panel of athletes who gathered on June 27 at the NYIT Auditorium on Broadway in Manhattan to raise awareness of concussions in youth sports. CNBC host Darren Rovell sat down with the New Orleans Saints player for a one-on-one interview about his latest role as national spokesperson for ImPACT for PACE, a program dedicated to Protecting Athletes through Concussion Education and made possible in collaboration with Dick's Sporting Goods Foundation. The initiative is a personal one for Brees; he suffered a concussion in 2005.

As assistant director of experiential education, she manages an Internship Certificate Program and oversees a student-led Community Service Center at NYIT's Manhattan campus.
