Federal regulations require NYIT to provide specific plan and investment information related to the TIAA-CREF retirement programs on an annual basis, including details about your investment options and expenses associated with those investments. The following documents are available on the NYIT portal, Human Resources section, under "Benefits":
- Summary of Plan Services and Costs (plan-related disclosure): provides information about administrative fees, individual transaction expenses, and an employee's right to direct investments.
- Investment Options Comparative Chart (investment-related disclosure): provides information about the investment options available to an employee with appropriate performance and expense details included.

NYIT will host its third Cyber Security Conference on Thursday, Sept. 20, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. at the NYIT Auditorium on Broadway in Manhattan. The event will feature a keynote address by Neal Ziring on "Defending Cyberspace: Are We Ready to Meet Emerging Cyber Threats?" Ziring is the technical director of the Information Assurance Directorate at the National Security Agency. He will be joined by experts in the field, including NYIT assistant professors of computer science Kiran Balagani and Wei Ding; Rajesh Goel (B.S. NYIT is committed to providing a positive learning, teaching, and working environment for the entire community. As such, the college has appointed a Title IX coordinator and deputy coordinators to resolve complaints and address issues regarding gender-based discrimination and sexual misconduct. Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 protects individuals from sex discrimination in educational programs and activities. The coordinators’ responsibilities include: tracking and monitoring incidents, including sex discrimination and sexual misconduct; ensuring that NYIT responds effectively to each complaint; and, where appropriate, conducting investigations of particular situations. ...more

Satasha Green, Ph.D., is NYIT's new dean of the School of Education. She succeeds Michael Uttendorfer, Ed.D. (M.S. '95), who will serve as an assistant provost for the next academic year and teach two education courses.
Green joins NYIT from the University of Alaska Anchorage, where she served as associate dean. She is committed to quality teaching, community service, and expanding diversity in the workforce. As the former director and co-founder of the International Special Education Coalition, she researched cross-cultural characteristics of autism in Kenya. Among her goals at NYIT are to highlight faculty research and its connection to the community, and enhance the resources provided by the School of Education.
