NYIT Community Faces Hurricane Sandy Together Faculty, staff members, and students at NYIT’s New York campuses shared information, provided support in the form of safety measures and coordinated activities, and offered their expertise to help those most vulnerable to the impacts of Hurricane Sandy. The storm, which struck the New York metro area on Oct. 29, left a trail of devastation in its wake.
