Dr. Nada Anid, dean of the school of engineering and computing sciences, chaired the panel on Carbon Sequestration and Storage at the Think Green Global Forum held in Nanjing-China on April 8 and 9, 2010, and presented the paper titled “Waste-to-Energy: an Energy Technology with Important Environmental Benefits” co-authored with Dr. Nickolas Themelis, Director of the WTE Research and Technology Council at Columbia University. Dr. Anid also contributed to the Forum through her outreach to distinguished speakers and sponsors from the US EPA, the US DOE and DOT, the Institute for Sustainability of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the NRDC, the University of Arizona, the University of Colorado at Boulder, ENCSS, the World Resources Institute, CB Richard Ellis, and various consulting firms.
Dr. Nada Anid, dean of the school of engineering and computing sciences, and Dr. Jun Ma, associate professor of mechanical engineering, gave a presentation on “The Internet of Things” to over 400 engineering students, University and Government officials at Jiangnan University, one of China's national key “211 Project” universities, in Wuxi, China.
