A team of NYIT engineering students participated in a competition co-sponsored by Juniper Networks and AT&T for universities in the New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania region. The 10-day event, "SDN/Network Programmability Hackathon," began with a workshop on Jan. 24 and culminated in presentations delivered by student teams on Feb. 2. Their work offered creative solutions to address a real-world issue for computer programmers: network congestion.
