A delegation of 26 students, faculty members, and administrators traveled to Beijing for an NYIT conference on water management and global challenges on Oct. 16. The students were invited to the conference by President Guiliano to benefit from NYIT's experiential approach to American education.
All students were required to keep a conference journal for reflection and analysis before, during, and after the conference. As one student noted in her journal: "This is my first time attending this kind of international conference. Experts from different fields and countries came together to talk about a great problem we face. Communication is an important tool to know the world ... though it has been several days since the conference, I am still excited when we talk about it."
