Professor at NYIT-Nanjing Awarded Grant to Study Contemporary Metaethics

In December, Xuetai Qi, adjunct assistant professor of philosophy at NYIT-Nanjing, was awarded a research grant by the National Department of Education of China for his research project, "Current State of Contemporary Metaethics in the West: Theme-based Studies."

His review of Mengzi: With Selections from Traditional Commentaries and The Essential Mengzi: Selected Passages with Traditional Commentary was published in the Fall 2010 issue of the APA Newsletter on Teaching Philosophy. His articles, "The A Priori Nature of Universal Ethics and Morality" and "Reasons, Sentiments and Normativity of Morality" were published in the November issue of the Journal of Social Sciences and the October issue of Morality and Civilization, respectively.
