NYIT Hosts First Stakeholders Conference in Nanjing

NYIT-Nanjing Conference Attendees

The School of Management at NYIT-Nanjing held its first Stakeholders Conference on "21st Century Skills Required at the Workplace" on Dec. 6. The event attended by more than 350 faculty, students, alumni, and university guests was coordinated by Keh Kwek, associate dean of NYIT-Nanjing and assistant dean of the School of Management on campus.

The event kicked off with welcome addresses by Monique Taylor, NYIT-Nanjing dean and executive director, and Zong Ping, NUPT College of Overseas Education dean. Business executives who presented at the conference included:

  • Borislav Maric, head of the Beijing Representative Office at Bauxite Corporation-Milici for the Republic of Srpska (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and ambassador to China for the Republic of Srpska
  • Goran Bajic, general manager, Asia Pacific, for W.E.T. Automobile Systems (China)
  • Zhou Bin, CEO, Jiangsu Phoenix Publishing and Media Corporation
  • Xu Fang, chairman and CEO, Jiangsu Verdon Home Furnishing Co.
  • Guo Yajin, vice general manager, Jiangsu Commservice Co.
  • Liu Qing, CEO, Nanjing Hanghu E-Business Co.
  • Liu Li, professor and deputy dean, NUPT School of Economics and Management

Following the speakers' presentations, more than 80 students and guests participated in three concurrent focus groups moderated by Kwek (professional enrichment), Professor Amanda Han (experiential education), and Associate Professor of Management and Economics Jim Nolt (student advancement).
