NYIT-Nanjing Celebrates New Academic Year

On Oct. 12, the opening ceremony for the Nanjing campus welcomed nearly 340 incoming students and marked the fourth anniversary of the campus opening. Among the attendees were President Guiliano, who gave the new student welcome address, and Dean of Career Services John Hyde (pictured right), who shared plans for future career and alumni services initiatives for the campus's more than 1,100 students.

Special guests included administration from Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommuncations (NUPT), NYIT's partner in Nanjing, and Gregory Pfleger and Camille Purvis Dawson, cultural affairs officer and chief of the outreach unit, respectiviely, for the U.S. Consulate General's Office in Shanghai. On Oct. 11, upperclass students attended an Ice Cream Social and participated in an informal Q&A session with President Guiliano.
