EcoPartnership leaders

With the backdrop of the NYIT-Peking University EcoPartnership and last month’s jointly organized conference in Beijing on “The Water-Energy Nexus: Sustainability and Global Challenges,” NYIT President Edward Guiliano, Ph.D., (pictured, center, with EcoPartneship leaders) sat for an in-depth interview with Shao Haipeng for China’s prestigious First Financial Daily. President Guiliano discussed China’s social development relating to technology, resources, and public policy. In addition to First Financial Daily, several mainstream Chinese outlets, including Entrepreneur's Daily, Sina Finance, Guangdong Securities, and Fangzhen Securities, have published the president's thoughts.

President Guiliano answered questions regarding pollution, economic development, nuclear energy, urban planning, and public health, among others. He also offered ideas on how China might cooperate with U.S. institutions experienced in analyzing industrialization and its consequences.

In addition to the interview, coverage of the NYIT-Peking University conference appeared in other prominent media in China, such as People’s Daily, Entrepreneur’s Daily, and Market Observer.
