The 2nd Annual NUPT-NYIT Student Film Festival held on May 13, 2010 was a success. The popular event was held on the campus of the Nanjing University of Posts & Telecommunications with an opening speech by Professor Huang Wei, Deputy President of NUPT, followed by a screening of the winning films and an awards ceremony. The jury, which included Chen Yingqi one of China's top film directors and Mao Lin the director of Nanjing TV Station, received more than 80 entries; this year's competition was also open to university students outside of NYIT and NUPT. Attendees included staff and faculty from NYIT and NUPT including NYIT-Nanjing Campus Dean James Nolt and Professor Kim Alan Bigelow, Director of the Communications Arts Department. NYIT-Nanjing's Communication Arts program has been expanding with new courses, additional faculty and the opening of a state-of-the-art TV studio, which opened Fall 2009.
