NYIT-Vancouver Achieves Top Score in Online Business Competition
Vancouver, Canada (July 6, 2011) — Led by NYIT School of Management Professor Abram Poczter, Ph.D, three NYIT-Vancouver students won the title of “Industry Champion” in the GLO-BUS online business competition for the week of June 27 to July 3.
Luo Yanni, Zhao Jing, and Guo Shu’s team, “Best Memories,” outshone 458 teams from 47 universities taking part in the worldwide simulation, during which groups of students ran fictional digital camera companies. Mirroring their operations against the global market arena, teams were challenged to create competitive strategies that lead to successful branding, financial performance, and global market leadership.
“This accomplishment is the best possible external validation of the quality of our MBA program. All the faculty members teaching in various functional areas of business ought to be proud of a job well done,” Poczter said.
Based on their top rank, the NYIT team is invited to compete in GLO-BUS’s upcoming Best-Strategy Invitational from August 8-11, 2011.
