Relay for Lunch to Support Cancer Research

Relay for Life

Faculty and staff members are invited to attend a "Relay for Lunch" event on Tuesday, April 10, 12:30-2 p.m. at the NYIT de Seversky Mansion. The buffet luncheon, donated by NYIT's Dining Services, will support NYIT's Relay for Life on Friday, April 20 at 7 p.m. to Saturday, April 21 at 7 a.m. Relay for Life is the American Cancer Society's annual 24-hour event to raise awareness about the disease by bringing together families, friends, coworkers, neighbors, students, cancer survivors, and their caregivers. NYIT teams are participating in this important event for the fourth-straight year.

The cost of Relay for Lunch is a $20 minimum donation at the door. Make checks payable to the American Cancer Society. All proceeds will be donated to Relay for Life. To R.S.V.P. for the luncheon, email deSeversky@nyit.edu by Tuesday, April 3. For more information, email Dina Karafantis, assistant professor of behavioral sciences, at dkarafan@nyit.edu or Michael Scarpa-Burnett, associate dean of student services, at mburnett@nyit.edu.
