Shatter the Silence. Stop the Violence. Join students and faculty from the NYIT behavioral sciences program, including criminal justice majors, at the first "Take Back the Night" event at NYIT to raise awareness of sexual assault and domestic violence. Family and friends of NYIT students are invited to participate as are criminal justice students at Molloy College.

"Take Back the Night" is a worldwide movement started in Philadelphia in 1975. The first international event was held a year later in Brussels, Belgium. Since then, thousands of colleges, universities, and crisis centers have sponsored awareness events.
