| Do you or someone you know have lupus? If so, you are aware of the life threatening damage lupus, a chronic autoimmune disease, can cause to your body. Despite the fact that more than 1.4 million Americans have lupus, there is no cure, and in fact, there has not been a new treatment available to help those suffering from this debilitating disease in more than 50 years. Join the Alliance for Lupus Research (ALR) and hundreds of Long Island residents on Saturday, June 12th at New York Institute of Technology-NYIT- Old Westbury, NY Campus for the ALR’s annual Walk with Us To Cure Lupus. The Walk will be held at New York Institute of Technology-NYIT- Old Westbury, NY Campus. You can walk individually or form a team with family, friends or co-workers. All of the donations made to the ALR, the world’s largest charitable funder of lupus research, and EVERY dollar raised through the ALR’s Walk with Us To Cure Lupus program go directly to support lupus research programs. The ALR has been supporting significant lupus research for more than 10 years.
