NYIT Men’s Basketball Chosen to Finish Fourth in the ECC
NYIT Men’s Basketball Chosen to Finish Fourth in the ECC
CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Oct. 14, 2010) – NYIT men’s basketball, under direction of 12th year head coach Sal Lagano, was selected to finish fourth in the eight team East Coast Conference, it was announced Thursday by league officials.
C.W. Post and the University of Bridgeport were chosen as co-favorites, with the Pioneers earning four first place votes and the Purple Knights receiving three first place votes. Queens College, who earned one first place point, was selected for finish third.

Molloy senior forward Brian Hutchinson was named ECC Preseason Player of the Year.
The Bears open the 2010-2011 campaign on Saturday, Nov. 20 against Felician College. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Recreation Hall. Prior to the game, NYIT welcomes back former men’s basketball members for an alumni game and reception at Noon.
