Central Islip, N.Y. (June 14, 2010) - NYIT senior second baseman Marissa Brucculeri was selected the 2010 ECC Softball Scholar-Athlete of the Year as announced by the conference office today.
A First Team All-Conference selection, Brucculeri batted .316 on the season with 21 RBI and 20 runs scored. She connected for nine doubles and four homeruns while swiping two bases. A Criminal Justice major, Brucculeri has compiled a 3.74 GPA during her time at NYIT.
East Coast Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year Awards are nominated by their institution and voted upon by the Faculty Athletic Representatives from each ECC institution.
