This year's clients included the Long Island Ducks professional baseball team; Cohen Children's Medical Center, a part of the Long Island Jewish/North Shore University medical system; and NYIT's Advertising and Publications department. Three teams of Carleton Group students presented their work on these respective projects--which included social media advertising, logo design, print and web ads, website splash pages and You Tube promotional videos--to an audience of about 50 colleagues, current and future clients, and NYIT VIPs.
"We're delighted to work with the Carleton Group," said Kevin Carraccio, vice president of development for Cohen Children's Medical Center, which is located in New Hyde Park. "They create materials that we really need...and that we really use...to get our message out". Among the projects NYIT's Carleton Group created this semester were special logos for the events surrounding Cohen Children's Medical Center's 30th Anniversary, coming up next year.
"We've very proud of our Carleton Group students and the great work they do for our valued clients," said John Hanc, associate professor, Communication Arts, Old Westbury campus and the agency's faculty advisor. "There are lots of colleges that do this sort of thing on a project or ad hoc basis. But not many that have a 22-year record of servicing major not for profit organizations, which is what our NYIT student agency has done."
